Edgar Allen Poe

I recall reading poems about Edgar Allen Poe in middle school. He was best known for his tales of mystery and the macabre, Poe was one of the earliest American practitioners of the short story and is considered the inventor of the detective-fiction genre. He is further credited with contributing to the emerging genre of science fiction.

  1. I love Edgar Allen Poe. He is just so cool and interesting to me. For Christmas, I asked my grandmother to get me a big book of just his stories. She gave me her collection of his books and I was the happiest person. He is creepy and I love creepy. I always joke that if I were to have a daughter when I am older, her name would be Lenore even if that is a creepy name :)
